Australia Post will offer Rugby League fans around the country a Souvenir Stamp Sheet celebrating the 2008 NRL Premiership team within days of the NRL Grand Final.

Australia Post’s designers and national support team will ensure that the NRL Premiership stamp sheets are available in selected Australia Post outlets from midday on Thursday, 9 October 2008.

“The Souvenir Stamp Sheet will be a unique way for fans of this year’s winning NRL team to celebrate their team’s premiership win” said Noel Leahy, Australia Post’s Philatelic Group Manager. “Fans will not miss a second of the celebrations as the souvenir sheets will be available within days of the game”.

As soon as the final whistle sounds at the 2008 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final on Sunday 5 October, the Australia Post team will kick into action. Design staff will select the best available images from the match and will insert them into the stamp sheets along with the team colours, team name, team logo, final score, NRL logo and the title “NRL Premiers 2008”.

This will be a fabulous opportunity for Rugby League fans and collectors to grab their own piece of grand final Rugby League fever in a prestigious souvenir stamp sheet.
